17 Commentaries כל החיה Every living thing אשר אתך that is with you מכל בשר of all flesh, בעוף of fowl, ובבהמה and of cattle, ובכל הרמש and of every creeping thing הרמש על הארץ that creeps upon the earth, הוצא bring out היצא (Yud in place of the Vav) אתך with you, ושרצו בארץ that they may swarm on the earth, ופרו and be fruitful, ורבו and multiply על הארץ upon the earth. 19 Commentaries כל החיה Every beast, כל הרמש every creeping thing, וכל העוף and every fowl, כל רומש על הארץ whatever moves on the earth, למשפחתיהם after their families, יצאו מן התבה went out from the ark. 20 Commentaries ויבן נח מזבח ליהוה And Noah built an altar to the Lord ויקח and he took מכל הבהמה הטהרה from every clean beast ומכל העוף הטהור and from every clean fowl, ויעל עלת and offered burnt-offerings במזבח on the altar. 21 Commentaries וירח יהוה And the Lord smelt את ריח הניחח the sweet savour, ויאמר יהוה אל לבו and the Lord said in His heart: לא אסף I will not again לקלל עוד curse any more את האדמה the ground בעבור האדם for the sake of man, כי יצר for the (lit; inclination) spirit לב האדם of the heart of man רע מנעריו is evil from his youth, ולא אסף neither will I again עוד להכות strike anymore, את כל חי every (thing) living, כאשר עשיתי as I did.
